The Survey Control Marks Database (SurCoM) contains positional, height and other information, relating to Survey Control Marks located at Survey Control Sites in Tasmania.

The identity and stability of a Survey Control Mark must be verified in accordance with established survey best practice, before placing any reliance on the coordinates or height of a mark. The Government of Tasmania will not be responsible for any loss that might result from the erroneous identification or instability of any Survey Control Mark. Whilst every effort is made to validate the accuracy and integrity of data contained in SurCoM, it is derived from a variety of sources, some of which are outside the control of the Office of the Surveyor General. The Government of Tasmania will not be responsible for any loss that might be attributable to the presence in SurCoM of erroneous or inaccurate information.

SurCoM contains the best information that is available to us at the present time. You can assist us in improving the database, by logging any errors that you may encounter, or any access problems that you may experience, in the Geodetic Issues Register.
SurCoM will be off-line (as will a number of other DPIPWE services, not including the LIST or the main DPIPWE website) for 12 hours from 8am to 8pm on Sunday 11th July 2010. We apologise for any inconvenience, but the downtime is due to circumstances beyond our control.
